Babs Young made her annual pilgrimage to the overlook on the hogback.  She writes:  This is the Jordan River Valley from Kidder Road south of East Jordan. However in the name of full disclosure, I must admit that this was not taken this week, but about a week ago. This was the year of yellows, not much red and most of the leaves have been blown off by now.

Oh for heaven’s sake.  I gave an appreciative nod to Friends of the Jordan in the title of this post and then completely omitted any reference in the post itself.  Distractable beyond belief.  Anyway, the Jordan Valley, the Jordan River, and the Jordan River Pathway are splendid jewels in Michigan’s treasure chest, and none of them would be doing half so well without the passion, vision and plain hard work of the Friends of the Jordan River Watershed.  They never give up.  Never, never, never give up.  Just like Winston Churchill.  Thank goodness.
