10 A.M. – STONE SKIPPING CONTEST (All participants MUST be registered-please do so prior to 10 a.m. at Petoskey Stone Festival headquarters table near west pavilion of the festival area.) Categories vary according to ages of participants. Conducted by Antrim County Commissioner Mike Crawford.
11 A.M. – BETTY DINGER MEMORIAL AWARD PRESENTATION-with last year’s winner, Bruce Mueller, of C & M Rock Shop in Beulah, Gladys Volante of the Bargain Den, and Linda Dinger Hoogerhyde of Dinger’s Rock Shop and other members of the Dinger Family, as well as Antrim County Commissioner Mike Crawford.
11:30 A.M. – ANTRIM COUNTY PETOSKEY STONE FESTIVAL ESSAY CONTEST AWARDS – with Representative Kevin Elsenheimer, Antrim Conservation District Executive Director Christy Roman, and Elizabeth Bartz from Alden State Bank, sponsors of the contest.
NOON – ANTRIM COUNTY PETOSKEY STONE FESTIVAL BEACH HUNT-(All participants MUST be registered-please do so anytime prior to NOON at Petoskey Stone Festival headquarters table near west pavilion of the festival area.) First, second, and third prizes in categories for both BIGGEST STONE AND BEST QUALITY in various age categories.
12:00 P.M. – ENTERTAINMENT BY TOMMY TROPIC
ALL DAY
FREE KID’S FISH POND, for kids up to 12 years of age, sponsored by Bellaire Conservation Club.
ALBO THE CLOWN-children’s entertainment.
