This farmstand is a charmer, with a picturesque garden at the front. The fresh produce comes from Bargy’s orchards or from other local growers, and they sell their own grain-fed, antibiotic-free beef in custom cuts or by the quarter, half or whole. But the best reason to go to Bargy’s may be the bakery. Oh my. Fritters and strudel and cookies – and pies. Glorious pies. Golden, flaky, handrolled hand-crimped crusts made from Ann Bargy’s mother’s recipe. Rich, juicy fillings. They’re really, really good. In fact, last summer TV 7&4 viewers named Bargy’s winner of the Best Pie Contest. Bargy’s is open June through Thanksgiving Eve.

Hi, Sandra – Yes, you can still buy Michigan dried cherries! No need to do without just because you’re all the way down there in Texas. I just added the website for Bargy’s so you can get in touch.
