Babs went to ArtRapids! on a perfect day and captured the perfect summer dress. I was captivated at once. Vessel dresses! I thought. They look just like the ripple of Grand Traverse Bay over its sandy shore. Who would think of such a thing? And why am I so taken with the work? As it turns out, ceramic artists Harry Welsch and Kim Wellman of Lutz Florida are the artists. They have a photo gallery on the Florida Westcoast Ceramic Society website. As for what makes my mind go ’round, it remains a mystery.
