I woke up this morning to a snowstorm, fat flakes lazing about in slow spirals on their way down, very restful. I was prepared to lie there indefinitely just watching it fall. But I keep a cat and two dogs and have grave responsibilities.
Off to breakfast at Java in Elk Rapids. Satisfactory as always, and on my way out I spotted something new: the Cherryland Middle School writing project.
Piles of composition books were laid out on the hearth, each with a different Subject, and an invitation to write. Pens were scattered among the books. I was intrigued. I was out of time. More about this one day next week.
Meanwhile I’ve been saving up good links for you, just in case you’re looking for something new and different on a February day.
- I have to thank Martha of Living Among Tourists for uncovering the Pothole Gardener.
- There are bird photos and there are bird photos. I am bewitched by these on Tootlepedal’s Blog. In fact, there are bewitching bird photos just about every day over there and I never get tired of them.
- If you enjoyed the TLV post about stone guest houses, you’ll absolutely love The Little Chapel on Lynne Kovan’s blog.
- For something completely different—high-tech, crisp-edged and cool—take a look at Photography in the Lab.
Have fun. Back later.
